What
is Coiled Tubing?
Coiled
tubing (CT) is a continuous length of steel pipe, spooled onto a large diameter
reel. The pipe comes in a variety of sizes and can be run into any well. Coiled
tubing is commonly used to convey tools, and circulate liquids and gases into
and out of the wellbore without relieving the wellbore pressure.
Cementing
services at OPC benefits the support of leading international group with
extensive CT experience ranging from basic nitrogen lifting, milling,
clean-out, scale removal, through tubing plug setting and stimulation to
horizontal logging and other complex well applications.
We
employ leading edge design software to predict CT string performance and fluid
behavior at modelled down hole well conditions. The work history and integrity
of each coiled tubing work string is continuously monitored and updated using
an electronic data acquisition system coupled with real-time modelling and
fatigue software. Our engineers continually evaluate the latest advances and
developments in coiled tubing applications, equipment and technology.
